It's been four years since the dubstep duo Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen released any new music, that is until now. The creative pair behind Knife Party have finally dropped their highly anticipated Lost Souls EP, which is composed of four tracks that jump between different genres.

First up is No Saint- opening the EP with a bang, this one is a Big Room House anthem that really kicks off and sets the bar high for the rest. Lost Souls exhibits Knife Party's signature dubstep, building tension and atmosphere with an eerie narrative before leading into a powerful headbanging number. Death & Desire features Canadian electronic star Harrison, who helped to produce this bouncy, joyous track which is perfect to get the crowd moving at the mainstage. Across the four songs there's the expected as well as the unexpected... whilst Lost Souls emulates classic Knife Party style, techno track Ghost Train comes as a welcomed surprise.

When speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1/Apple Music, Knife Party revealed that the timing of this latest release is linked to Pendulum, the drum and bass group that both members are a part of.

"It felt like we sort of needed to finish that off before getting back to Pendulum and release this little bit of music before going quiet for a tiny bit. It’s been a while since we last released something and we wanted to make sure it was right.”

Pendulum Touring Again

Pendulum made headlines recently as it was announced that they would be bringing their brand new Pendulum Trinity project to Ultra Japan 2019. It's been roughly ten years since the group released anything, so fans are eagerly awaiting to see what they have up their sleeves.
