After a sold-out show last year, Singapore’s biggest New Year’s celebration, Star Island, is back to help usher in the new decade.
Brought to you by Japan’s Future Hanabi Entertainment, in conjunction with Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2020, Star Island is a fully immersive, multi-sensory spectacle set against the glistening, metropolis skyline of Singapore. Exclusively for 2019, gather your closest friends and behold the country’s largest ever drone show performance, presenting 500 drones that are fully synchronized to the fireworks and varying show elements.
Throughout the day and night, you’ll have the opportunity to dance away to DJs, explore the family-friendly entertainment zone, engorge yourself in the food village and feast your eyes on the numerous art performances. Most importantly, by the time the clock strikes 12 you’ll be able to gaze up in awe at the hand-crafted Japanese fireworks, scrupulously designed in order to take your breath away.
For 2019, Star Island’s Space Odyssey theme consists of six chapters, Ceremony, Another Earth, Galaxy Party, Gravity, Microcosmos, and the Grand Finale. Each of these chapters is finely choreographed and features top of the range 3D surround sound technology, as well as a plethora of theatrical performances lead by a troupe of Olympians, circus troupe stars, ballerinas, contemporary dancers and fire throwers. Each audience member will also be given an LED wristband that reacts in time with the show, immersing you furthermore into the festivities, making the evening all the more dazzling.
